Despite the heatwave, railway timetables that melt away as fast as they could be read and injuries galore among the brethren, the toughest team around made it into Freemason’s Hall for the June meeting. Though the planned workings may have suffered due to justifiably absent Brethren, the day was still enjoyed by those present – it just means we have more to look forward to in September.

Of special note was ‘Stand in Steve’ who stepped up at very short notice to stand in as IG with only a day’s notice, even giving an impromptu and word perfect demonstration of the 1st Degree Working Tools. Thank you Steve and well done.
A great effort from all who were able to brave the heat and travel challenges – and followed by an equally great dinner in an air-conditioned pub afterwards. Looking forward to everyone catching up in September.
